Experience with Dogs

Brutus.jpg My first Rottweiler inspired me enough to want to become a breeder one day. Fifteen years ago we acquired our first Rottweiler, Brutus. I owe much of my hands on experience as well as love of the breed to him. He taught us many lessons, both of love and learning. Through trial and error I learned how to train a Rottweiler. Once we were in sync we became a great team. It was all history after that. Over the years I have shown my dogs in obedience, agility and conformation. Our family of Rottweilers has grown and I feel very fortunate to be able to spend my days training and enjoying them.

Caring for Dogs

In 1998 I opened Bailey's Bed and Biscuit, named after our second Rottweiler Bailey. We wanted to offer dogs a positive experience while giving pet owners peace of mind while on vacation. Over the years, I have established a wonderful clintele whos dogs I truly enjoy caring for.

My involvement with rescue work began quite some time ago with a woman who has now become a great mentor and friend, Judy Koloski. Together, along with others we started Hudson Valley Rottweiler Rescue. I still field rescue calls and try to place dogs that pass a specific set of criteria whenever possible. Ocassionally we have a foster dog available.
